Don't look now but Wow!

Okay, so a few days goes by and bam, hello mama! A lot of growing has been done in the past week. Maybe it's just the new top that she's wearing. It's starting to really set in. I've also heard that this is the time that the "glow" starts setting in too. I can see that. Maybe it's the fact that she got her hair done a couple of days ago. Maybe it's everything I always knew was so amazing about my wife.

No it's not the beer I had. I've only had one so far and that was quite a while ago. I'm getting ready for number two now! Seriously though, I'm beginning to see why this is such a neat time of my life. Even though she sleeps a lot, I'm being rewarded with so much. The rewards will only continue, if you don't think about the lack of sleep to come. We'll deal with that later. I'm taking advantage of this wonderful time!

Maybe Not?

So maybe we're not quite out of the woods yet with the nausia. Certain foods or drinks should go on the "not while pregrant" list. Number one- Naked Blue Machine Juice drink. That gave her some serious indigestion and led to her ultimately losing it at the sink. Wow! I really can not do anything for her during that "time" because I will lose it myself. That is one odor I cannot handle. Of course most people feel the same way.

I hope to not have to add anymore to this list. I'm sure there are lots more that are on the list but hopefully we will get past this point soon.

Um, 19 weeks?

Time is flying by. Things have smoothed out since we hit the 18 week point. My wife is doing better from a food/nausea perspective. That is really nice. She even made dinner a few nights this past week. Wow! The thing that's still tough is her work shedule. Working nights makes her days off backwards until she gets used to the time changes. She seems to be handling it pretty well. Except for the days off that she ends up sleeping most of it on the coach and then gets up at 3:30 in the morning. I guess she needs to rest. So maybe resting until 7 or 8 in the morning will be better? Hint Hint :-))

Now that we're in the 19th week, we have pretty much come close to the midway point and we should enjoy this time. I have heard it starts getting tough pretty soon. I think I can go with the flow. I just need to keep asking about times and dates and keep trying to stay ahead of schedule. Schedule?? What is that? I am trying to stay up on all of the times and duties and what not by reading a lot of stuff. What should we be doing now besides enjoying our rest? I have read a lot of things about looking into planning for day care, planning the nursery, starting to make lists, etc... What really should we be doing if anything? Ideas?? Time is going to fly by so get ready...

We're having a little Princess!!

I got the call today and it was good.  Good news all around.  The results of the amnio came back and everything looks great.  That was quite possibly the best news I have ever heard, so far (except for the initial "I Do!" and then several years later "I'm Pregnant").  What is even better news is that we are expecting a little Princess 'Addison-Lee' in early June.  That is so cool!

I would have to say that things are pretty good now.  I can get used to things like lavender, paisley, purple, light green and blue, and yes, even pink.  Bring on Hot Pink too if you dare!  I'm game.  As long as it's Daddy's Little Girl we're talking about, I can handle pretty much anything.  I don't quite know about handling a lack of sleep.  We'll cross that bridge when we get to it.  But for now, all is right with the world.
